Quantum-based DT for Open RAN: Visit and workshop in India

From 29th April to 4th May 2025, LDTRC team paid a visit to our Indian partners as part of our UKI-FNI  and ISPF-Japan project activities. Huan Nguyen, Purav Shah and Tuan Le visited Shiv Nadar University, IIT Delhi, HCL Noida and IIIT Hyderabad. The visit included talks, research discussion and a workshop.

On 1st May 2025, a “Workshop on Networks and Systems” was held at Shiv Nadar University (SND), Delhi, India. The workshop brought together academics and researchers from the UK and India to share their views and recent results on wireless communications, ORAN, and quantum technologies in the context of 5G and 6G networks, with a specific focus on security challenges in OpenRAN (O-RAN). The workshop hosted over 30 attendees, in person, from India and the UK. Dr Shankar Gosh and Prof Vinod Sharma hosted the event.

Dr Tuan Le presented work on Quantum-based DT for O-RAN

On 2nd May 2025, Prof. Huan Nguyen, Dr. Purav Shah and Dr. Tuan Le visited the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). The team was hosted by Prof. Brejesh Lall and his team (including Professors Debasish Mitra and Mandal)  at Bharti School of Telcom Technology and Management, IIT Delhi. Prof. Huan Nguyen and Prof. Brejesh Lall presented the research activities and interests currently being carried out at LDTRC and ITT Delhi. The meeting was concluded with several mutual research interests for future collaborations.
