Official launch of the London Digital Twin Research Centre

The launch event –  Workshop on Digital Twins for Global Digital Transformation with a great line of speakers. Fantastic talks! With thanks to our project funders Newton Fund, UKIERI and British Council

Some highlights from the event:

Pro-Vice chancellor and Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Sean Wellington, officially launched the centre with his opening speech

Prof Huan Nguyen and team members from LDTRC (Dr Ramona Trestian and Mr William Davis) summarised the on-going projects at the Centre

Dr. Raja Vara Prasad, IIIT, Sricity, India, the Co-PI  in the UKIERI-DST project gave his talk on “Digital Twins in Industry 4.0

Prof. Steven Niederer, Kings College London, presented his work on “Translating the Cardiac Modelling into the Clinic

Prof. Guido De Roeck, KU Leuven delivered his talk on “Structural Digital Twins”

Stephen Douglas, Head of 5G Strategy, Spirent Communications, gave his talk on “The 5G Network Digital Twin”

Dr Andrew Parry & Dr Viet Tung Nguyen, Schlumberger, Paris, France could not travel to London due to the COVID-19 travel restriction, and presented their talk “Digital Twin for Structural Health Monitoring and Control” via Skype link

Dr. Veronica Martinez, Digital Built Britain, University of Cambridge (UK) gave her talk on “Digital Twins in the Heavy Assets Industry

Prof Mehmet Karamanoglu on “Digital Twin and Connected Curriculum” project at Middlesex

Prof. Balbir Barn presented the agent-based modelling language concept for Digital Twin technology
