UK-India Workshop on Enhancing Employability of Higher Education Graduate Students in Industry 4.0

Middlesex University, UK and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Sri City, India are hosting a hybrid workshop on Skill-sets for technology-based employment for university graduates. The workshop is funded by the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships Grant and is aimed to disseminate the information on specific skill-sets required for next generation of university graduates, primarily in the area of Industry 4.0. The workshop would present the different technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Physical System (CPS), Wireless Communications and Digital Twins that the university graduates are required to have knowledge of.

Date: Friday 15 July 2022

Time: 0900 to 1330 (UK)/ 1330 to 1800 (IST)

Mode: Blended (Online and/or In-Person for Indian Participants)

Objective: The workshop is aimed to disseminate the information on specific skill-sets required for next generation of university graduates, primarily in the area of Industry 4.0. The workshop would present the different technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Physical System (CPS), Wireless Communication, Networking that the university graduates need to pick up, the application domain such as Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing and aspects of product life cycle (PLC), predictive maintenance, etc. The workshop would have invited talks from several UK and Indian academia and industry professionals on specific skill-sets for improving employability and the industrial applications. The workshop is a joint effort by Middlesex University, UK and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Sri City, India.

Target Audience: The workshop would be extremely beneficial for senior under-graduates, Masters/PhD students from Universities and also young faculties who would be teaching the state-of-the-art technology courses.

Registration: Workshop participation is free for all people globally as it is funded by the British Council. Upto 50 Indian participants can register to attend the workshop in physical mode. Accommodation and food arrangements would be provided free of cost at IIIIT Sri City to the selected Indian participants.

Participants attending the complete workshop sessions would be provided with a certificate of participation for attending “UK-India Workshop on Enhancing Employability of Higher Education Graduate Students in Industry 4.0
